If you've never heard of Balto, he is one of the most famous Husky's to have ever lived. He is famous for leading a group of sled dogs on a run to the Alaskan city of Nome, delivering a Diphtheria antidote to combat an outbreak in 1925. Balto lead his master & other sled dogs through a blizzard & -23 ºF weather on his way to saving the children of Nome with this antidote. 

After his heroics, he spent the rest of his life as a beloved pet at the Cleveland, Ohio Zoo. His body was mounted & kept on display at the Cleveland Museum of Natural History, where it remains today. Being that our headquarters are just south of Cleveland, it was only right to name our house blend in memory of Balto. 

This is a full-flavored, medium roast blend of select coffees from Central and South America.  It's smooth, clean and consistent for a flavorful cup every time.

Balto's House Blend features a medium body with tasting notes that include nutty, sweet chocolate, and mild citrus.  It offers a clean bright finish.

These blended coffees are naturally dry processed, wet mill washed, and dried in the sun.  These techniques are friendly to the environment, the rain forests and the living creatures of the high elevation mountains where these coffees are grown.

We can't prove it, but we think this might be the most fragrant and delicious blend of coffees anyone who loves dogs has ever made.  

Roast:  Medium
