We once had a dog named Juliette.
She may have been the boldest dog we've ever owned.
Ultimately, she was a $10,000 dog. She tore two ACLs and once ate a ball of yarn that had to be removed from her tummy. We loved her dearly, but we've borrowed her name for our French Roast coffee because it sounds French — and because we need to recoup a little of what we spent on all those surgeries.
The beans of our highest scoring African coffees are shiny, too. We use them to give this roast its bittersweet flavor with low acidity; it's rich, memorable, and bold.
...just like Juliette.
